Screen Printing

I screen printed the final pieces to Brent + Rebeccas wedding today. Most of the guests coming from out of town have never visited Portland and B+R wanted to give them a little direction once they arrived. A hand drawn map with suggestions of cool stumptown spots and a get to know each other pizza party before the wedding day! Great excuse to use the basement set up and have a few beers.

Beauty Bar Portland

I have been doing some design + printing for the new Portland Beauty Bar. The opening is next week and they wanted some invites for the Grand opening and VIP opening. (Both nights sound amazing!) In order to cut costs and save print time I went with a combo invite with a perforated middle. The printing hit a few snags (like cutting a hundred sheets of chipboard and then not being able to use it) along the way, luckily Cassie was involved in the printing and we made it through. Everyone involved including me is very pleased with the end result. I think the next move is some posters.

Weddings.

I have been working on a fair share of upcoming weddings. They all seem like they are taking place within a month of each other. Cassie and I printed these invites for our friends Brain and Rebecca over the weekend. They did a great job on the design capturing a Northwest vibe. Love that Murillo paper! So cool. There is so much punch on both sides of the paper. Yet the type is perfect. The entire thing has some weight to it. Feels really cool in your hands.

TOO BAD

so I printed these handbills my friend Pete designed for the first ever MOTHDUST show! I got to use some cutoff that I've been saving and I think these turned out great. The sad part is that Luke broke his leg in two places the same day and we had to cancel. I did hand out a few, the show will still be really good. Broken bones.

Shivas Freezing to Death

I illustrated, designed and printed Freezing to Death, the new album from The Shivas. This one took a few months to get all the way through. I should have some more detailed photos up over the next week or so. I've been told that the next piece is the vinyl version! I'll keep you posted.
