This is my fourth year teaching at the rock camp in Pendleton, OR. Every year ten to fifteen Portland musicains/artists travel east to Pendleton and teach 75 or so teens. There are classes, discussions, zines, lunches, clapping, and a lot of noodling. But the main thing the kids get out of camp is that they form bands, write a song or two and as counselors we help them play them over and over again until our ears cry. At the end of the week they perform in front of the whole town on a stage in the middle of Main street. It is inspiring to say the least. Well I hand set these posters for the showcase tonight. i left the top half blank so the kids can finish the job. i'll post some photos when i get back.
